Botany is the study of plant life forms including its external and internal structure, classification, the functions performed by plants, plant growth and propagation, plant tissue culture and hybridization. Botany extends to include the economic importance of plants and diseases affecting plants. Plants living in aqueous environments are of special interest to the program.
